UI Designer
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented UI Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, engaging and visually appealing mobile app experiences.
This role is dedicated to the ongoing design and enhancement of a customer-facing mobile application used by thousands of users. You will work closely with product managers, developers and stakeholders to create user interfaces that are simple, modern and easy to use.
Please note: This is not a traditional graphic design role. The primary focus is designing and improving mobile app screens, user journeys and digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
UI Design
- Design high-quality mobile application screens and workflows.
- Create intuitive and visually appealing user experiences across iOS and Android platforms.
- Develop wireframes, mock-ups and high-fidelity designs.
- Design new features, enhancements and customer journeys.
- Ensure consistency across all areas of the application.
Product Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers to understand business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Participate in product planning and feature discussions.
- Translate complex requirements into simple and effective user interfaces
UX Improvement
- Review existing app experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Simplify customer journeys and reduce friction points.
- Apply UX best practices to improve usability and customer satisfaction.
- Consider accessibility and mobile-first design principles in all work.
Design Systems
- Maintain and contribute to the application’s design system.
- Create reusable components and UI patterns.
- Ensure consistency in typography, colour, spacing and interaction design.
- Document design standards and guidelines.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in UI Design, Product Design or Digital Design.
- Strong experience designing mobile applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma.
- Strong portfolio showcasing mobile app design projects.
- Understanding of mobile design principles for both iOS and Android.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity user interfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and visual design skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working within a SaaS, technology or digital product environment.
- Understanding of UX design methodologies.
- Experience conducting user journey mapping and workflow design.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems.
- Familiarity with developer handoff processes and design documentation.
